A high-ranking administrator made a point of bullying school employees whenever he could. After another school employee took their spouse to get fitted for their first wheelchair, they confirmed with the administrator about the doctor visit, as it was running long. The next day, when walking the campus with the high-ranking administrator and contractors to address issues where the school had lapsed regarding ADA compliance, the administrator took it upon himself to belittle people with disabilities, going as far as to say, “Does it help if we just put up signs saying disabled people are not welcome here?” The contractors and the school employee grimaced in disbelief at this statement, especially since less than 24 hours had passed since the wheelchair fitting, which the high-ranking administrator was fully aware of. We continuously teach our students that bullying is not accepted or tolerated. Should we not demand the same accountability of our leaders?

    Every school leader should strive to leave the place better than when they found it. This requires the leader to truly be for the kids and community first. Not themselves first. Seems someone definitely left a legacy which in the case is not a good one. I wouldn’t be able to go out into our community knowing everyone knew me for who I really was. Tragic.

    Quick summary of this website. There WAS a bad person employed who should never be employed. There may not have been many people covering for him and keeping him in a position of power. He DID and SAID a bunch of stuff that would NOT be tolerated in any other school, job, or community. He HAS been relieved of his position. Yet there is STILL stuff coming our way regularly that a board was either blind to, ignored, and worse still, PROTECTED. To protect wrongdoing is to condone wrongdoing. Just saying.
