A high ranking administrator on multiple occasions expressed his disappointment in the schools scores. He insisted the school should be better than state average. He often reiterated this point by saying that state averages took into considerations schools on the border or near the border of Texas and Mexico. He insinuated that this demographic of student we should be able to surely be better than. It is important to remember that school leaders represent all demographics. To demean one demographic of student regardless of race, gender, disability, or any other metric is definitely not conducive to a healthy school that represents all of these metrics. These behaviors should have never been allowed, tolerated, or protected.
