I know this was shared in a previous post, but there are significantly more people on the site now than before, and the link may have been buried in comments. If you want to see how a district feels about its community, look no further than how it provides for its students. We can all admit COVID was a tough time for many families. That is why the government put a program in place to help these families provide. Yes, we were completely eligible for this assistance. What would it require? Simply leadership that cared about its kids and an application that would take less than 30 minutes. Sadly, this community didn’t have this. While leadership’s buddies were given thousands of dollars, the families and students in our district were completely overlooked. The saddest part is that while other districts’ elected officials would have held leadership responsible for failing to provide for their students, our elected officials went to great lengths to hide it from our community. Only after things started going public in January did they act quickly to get rid of the feckless leadership. This district might lead the state and maybe the nation in one area. Robbing its community. To prove it, simply open a records request for the application for the CEP the district submitted following COVID. Provide that, and this post will be shut down. It doesn’t exist.
